I had a great experience. The staff was exceptionally well organized. I was able to book my appointment and download forms online; very convenient.

I was moved expertly through a full range of tests. Dr. Hayashi was patient in carefully understanding my eye concerns and walking me through the test results and alternatives.

I recommend her and her practice.

I read all the rave reviews for Dr. Hayashi, saw that she had great credentials from Princeton and Cornell, and booked an appointment with her. What an awful experience!
The waiting room was windowless, with wall to wall people. When I asked the receptionist about the room's dim lighting thinking maybe it was for people with some sort of eye condition, I was told this lighting was normal. Perhaps they are trying to save on electricity?
I arrived at 12:45 for a 1 pm appointment. At 1:15, I turned to the girl sitting next to me. She had arrived for a 12:30 appointment and was still waiting, with no end in sight - it was a LONG line, two dozen or more people, few of whom were not speaking English. The impression I got was that of a medical mill - although the doctor charges full price - $310 for a first visit, with no discount for the uninsured. And they ask you to pay before you ever see the doctor. For that price, I expect something other than a dumpy office. The other clue was that the intake form asked how I had heard of Dr. Hayashi. (Her name came out on top at Google) And then it asked I knew of her through a Google ad. Is there a connection here?
I knew if I waited an hour there, I would be depressed, so I cancelled my appointment, got a refund on my prepaid bill, and walked out.

Dr. Hayashi has been a terrific doctor to me and my fiancee. I had the hardest time convincing him to even go to the doctor, but Dr. Hayashi even persuaded him to wear contacts! It was a life changing event as he can run, hike, etc. without having to worry about his glasses. She was the perfect balance for us between clearly top notch training and experience and being able to communicate to every day people. I highly recommend going to see her!
