Muslim Majlis of Staten Island

Masjid is a great place for Muslims to pray.Parking is a problem specially on fridays and during festivities!

Mostly Pakistani and few Africans. I like this Masjid because of its quietness in comparaison to the other Mosques in Staten Island mostly run by Egyptians. You can do your prayers without being disturbed. No one looks at you or ask you anything. The Imam has been teaching Quran to children for years almost every single weekdays. He is the only Iman New York who I saw giving Quran classes for so long time.
The Imam is really doing an outstanding job.

One of the few masjids in Staten Island, however they could work a little harder. The women's area is in plain view of the men (you just need to turn around) And the women's area is very tiny and there isn't enough space for every. Sunday school isn't worth it. There is no discipline. Students run amok without being scolded and there is not enough quality teaching. I do love coming to this masjid, but they could put more effort into this house of Allah.
