Murlees is the only store left that represents great service in our day and age, when I shop other places it seems as though no one really wants to help me. From Coppley to AG Jeans, I always find what I need for my husband, and the tailoring is terrific! Keep it up, everyone should cherish a business like this that has been around since my grandmother was a girl.

Bruce and the staff at Mur-Lee's went above and beyond to help my husband look incredible in a new suit for an important function. The quality of the clothing, the level of customer service and the attention to every detail make this men's clothing store one that we will continue to shop at. Thank you Mur-Lee's!!

I have purchased many Suits and Sport Coats from Mur-Lee's and have always received great service as well as Gorgeous suits. Bruce Levitt knows what I need even before I do.

This store is a Man's best Friend and in the Business world you need to Look the part and feel the part, and with My outfits I purchased I am extremely happy

I would Highly Recommend this store to everyone...

- Terrible #98146
A few months ago my husband purchased a suit from Mur~Lee's for a friend's wedding & knew that the tailor, Julio, did a phenomenal job. So when he recently purchased a new suit and a tuxedo online that needed to be tailored he called Mur~Lee's to see if they would tailor "outside" suits and was told "absolutely, no problem." Unfortunately, the experience was less than pleasant and actually turned quite uncomfortable. While my husband was trying on his suit & I was waiting for him -- one of the female workers was holding the other suit he had just finished trying on & one of the owner's, Bruce Levitt, looked at the price tags & brand of suit. He then proceeded to shake his head & talk about the poor quality of the suit and how the lady should suggest that for that price my husband could get one of their "better quality" suits & get the tailoring included. So after my husband finished trying everything on she gave him her sales pitch & she was respectful & courteous about it. However, while they were talking, Bruce interrupts and says "You know she is just trying to educate you" in a very condescending manner, while other customers were in the store. My husband respectfully declined the offer. A few minutes later, Bruce walked away from the customer he was with simply to say “I am sorry I just can't let this go, I'm just trying to educate you" in an even more condescending tone. He then proceeded to take a blazer off the rack & bring it to my husband to explain how it was much better quality, as if my husband was a child and didn't understand anything about suits. My husband stopped him in the middle of his patronizing speech & told him that while he understands Bruce is trying to get business and that the quality of his Mur~Lee's suits may be better, my husband wasn't claiming he bought a top of the line suit and wasn’t interested in spending the kind of money Mur~Lee's charges - especially when my husband bought his suits at 50% off their ticket price, which was about 1/3rd of the price Mur~Lee's charges.

Despite this incident my husband was still considering taking another suit to them (simply because he likes Julio) until he went to pick up his suits this past weekend. When we went into the store, the owners obviously recognized us, and didn't even say hello. A different salesman, clearly unaware of the previous interactions, assisted my husband with trying on his recently tailored suits. Everything was going well until the salesman began packing up my husband's suits on a Mur~Lee's hanger and into a cloth zip up garment bag. Out of nowhere, he was called over by the other owner, Bruce's brother Harry, and was instructed (again in front of other customers) Hey to put the garments onto a cheaper plastic hanger & into a plastic garment bag simply because they weren't Mur~Lee's suits. My husband and I actually laughed at how cheap and pathetic the attempted insult was (even the salesman was embarrassed to have to re-package the suits)- and thought about saying "I hope you saved a dollar by not using the Mur~Lee's hanger" - but instead decided to be the bigger people and simply walk out without saying a word.

Needless to say, we will not be going back to Mur~Lee's and strongly discourage anyone from providing them any future business - unless you feel like being belittled and insulted in front of other people. We love their tailor Julio, whose craftsmanship and demeanor are as professional as they come, but we simply can't justify giving them any further business because it would encourage their appalling business philosophy (which apparently involves making people feel inferior unless they buy Mur~Lee's clothing and pathetically trying to save pennies on hangers). Guess they are not too concerned with losing customers which is disappointing coming from a family of business-owners.
