This park is a hidden gem of N. Brooklyn, unless you live in the area. If you're in Williamsburg/Greenpoint for a day go check out McGolrick after your time at Smorgasborg! Very pretty in the fall.

Playground is big but outdated. Would be nice to see new playground equipment added. Old, tall trees are fantastic however. Great shade for hot summer days in the park. Nice grass areas for babies 'n blankets. A farmer's market was going on the day we visited. Nice touch. Water spray feature was pretty bad. If they update that, then this park gets four stars for sure. An A+ for trees and history, C for playground.

I was there for the Dog Halloween Costume and Parade this afternoon and I had I really nice time! The park offers a nice structure and the event was well organized.
There are places for children to play and benches available to rest.
