I've walked by Mr. Tongs for years and never paid it any mind since I already have my go to spot for chinese closer to home. I checked out this spot due to all the great reviews on yelp. I ordered the sweet and sour combination that came with an egg roll and roast pork fried rice. The rice was slamming and I was very impressed. The chicken was just okay and the small egg roll was tasty. I ordered take out and I will definitely return to check out other items on the menu.

Definitely a notch above your average takeout Chinese place. Mr. Tong's offers restaurant quality dishes at very reasonable prices. Do yourself a favor and try some of the dishes that you would normally not see at a takeout place. Their specialty casseroles are very good, as are some of the Chef's specials. If you are ever in the mood for some Peking Duck, call ahead 30 minutes and have them prepare some very good quality/authentic Peking Duck.

The food has eggs and note that eggs are very delicate in wich if not cooked correctly can give you salmanela posining in this case this has been the sencond time this has happen I hope they get inspected

I love Mr. Tongs!!!! Best Chines Food in Queens. Best Service!! The staff is amazing, down to earth, friendly. They really seem to care about their customers. They really make you feel like you're home. I love going to places that have excellent food and excellent service. It's like you're getting the best of both worlds!
