A great find. Took my mother for a Birthday Dinner. Host is welcoming and we did not wait for seating. The ambiance is great. Took away one star due to the saltiness of our sauté spinach

If you are looking for a good restaurant in Astoria, this is the place to go. Had my wife not had the dumplings I would have ordered it. I tried hers and they were awesome. I had the beef souvlaki which was pretty good as well. The service was good and attentive and we definitely would go back.

We were originally planning on eating dinner at a different restaurant down the block, but the waiting time was too long. We happened to come across MP Taverna and decided to try it out based on the Yelp reviews.
It's a nice, contemporary-themed two story restaurant. The waiting staff is friendly and service is prompt. We started out with the saganaki (flaming cheese) and grandma's greek meatballs, which were delicious. For my main course, I went with the scallop risotto, which was burning hot yet still delicious.
Overall, I'd recommend to try MP out, the food was good and service was friendly.

Hosted a party there and had a wonderful time. Would've given 5 stars except they didn't give very much seating room - we felt a bit like sardines in a can - and I wish I had brought my own cake. Their cake was rather dry and tasteless. But, the food was great as was the service!
