I shopped around for a collision shop after I got in a small accident with my SUV. When I met with Joe, the owner, he made me comfortable that the job would turn out properly. I saw some of his work and the cars looked great.
I got my car back in a timely fashion and it looked great! I highly recommend Montclair Collision!

I took my car for repairs at Montclair Collision roughly a year and half ago following a fender bender. Initially, Joe the mechanic was extremely helpful with organizing repairs and the the body work itself was good. However, problems began when I had to retrieve paper work and invoices from the shop for insurance purposes. After being told that the necessary paperwork had been "lost" I was promised that I would be reimbursed (half the amount) by Joe. Several months later, I have not received any checks or payments from the shop despite monthly calls. In fact, I was told by Joe that according to him the money that he had promised to send me was "not a lot" and therefore I should just drop the whole thing, don't think that would be the case if it was the other way around. I have since moved and have not heard from the shop. I am under no illusions that I will ever receive the money that was promised. I would not recommend this shop as the hassle was ridiculous and there was complete lack of honesty (the last thing I want is a mechanic who lies to me, numerous times). There are a number of shops in the area who do great work and are professional.

They told me come in any time and they'll be quick. Their work was late and they said it was because they were busy. Same day.

Asked for the minimum of work done to a hit to the back behind the passenger-side wheel and I got less than that. The bumper that was replaced popped up the day I left the place.

I was impressed and appreciative of owner's handling of the insurance red tape--ins. had originally said we had to go to one of their recommended repair shops, inconveniently located.
He did great work, fixed an additional "ping" at a very reasonable price, and had it ready quickly and when he said he would.
Also the shop was immaculate--how does he do that?!?!
