My first visit to MoMa PS1 felt like I was walking into an average art space, filled with hipsters. The Tony Matelli human sculpture and some of the Photography are worth the trip there but for the rest it doesn't feel well curated. I also found the staff at the entrance rather obnoxious, and unhelpful.

I'm not a huge fan of the public school layout -- even though I do think the idea is unique. Definitely go in with a very open mind to see the exhibits. I would say that you probably can't spend an entire day there (it's rather small). Look up any must-see exhibits before you go.

Positively weird and heavy. While I highly suggest this place, go with both an open mind and a fresh one, because by the end of it you'll be exhausted from this trippy walkthrough dream.

It's a MoMA in an old school, what's not to love? No permanent collection, just interesting, ever-changing exhibits. Rad place.

This place is a magnet for creative hipsters, with all of the counter-cultural pretensions that entails. If you're not one to stick flowers in your beard, is it still worth the schlepp to LIC? In my experience, the answer is a qualified yes. There are so many things I love about Warm Up: day drinking, outdoor concert, dancing like no one cares, house music, fun crowd, flowing beer, cheap tickets, free art, and something for everyone. I've been a few times and the acts have never disappointed. I've always walked away with a new artist I need to look up and binge-listen to.
