The only place I can EVER find in the area that stays open very late to pick up snacks and drinks on the go. The choices are somewhat limited and all enclosed in thick bullet-proof looking glass, but hey -- safety first!

Horrible experience OMG...there are 2 gas stations less than 7 blocks away on 47st &11 ave or 45st & 10ave and there are professional auto mechanics all around here. Avoid these guys!!!

Finally, I can breathe easy - I've found my Manhattan auto shop! After having a very disappointing experience at a garage just a block away, I happened to pop into the Mobil station on the corner of 11th Avenue and 51st to inquire about repairing my A/C. I drive a 1993 Honda Accord, and had been told by several mechanics to forget it - that the cost of fixing the A/C would cost more than the car was worth. So I made my peace with sweating, but with a geriatric dog and global warming - every trip was a nightmare. (I was afraid Sparky might spontaneously combust in the back seat if we got stuck in traffic forever on one of those 100 degree days..!) On a whim I decided to give it one more try, and I thank my lucky stars. They could not have been kinder, they fixed my A/C quickly and charged me a price that was more than fair - a fraction of what I'd been quoted for the job from other garages. Hands down the best auto mechanics in Manhattan!
