I'm absolutely happy with the decision I made to go to Mix 'em Up Bartending School.
The instructor, Joanne Lisa, is professional and cares about all the students, she works with each one at their own individual pace. She is very knowledgeable and extends her help even beyond the school itself. Flexible schedules, great atmosphere and you're always welcome to go back for refresher courses. Attending classes here gave me the skills, knowledge and confidence to enter the bartending industry.

Mix ‘Em Up is a great school for anybody interested in a career in bartending. If you’re willing to study hard & practice, this place will put you on the fast-track to a bartending career. My instructor was Joanne, and she was tremendous. She has that rare combination of traits (real life experience, ability to teach, and patience) that define an effective teacher. The facility is setup just like a real bar, which make the all-important simulations possible, and can accommodate a large group comfortably. I enrolled two weeks ago with very basic bartending knowledge, and today I have a certificate along with the necessary confidence to start interviewing. I’m glad I decided to attend Mix ‘Em Up, and I believe that my investment will soon start paying dividends.

One of the best experiences of my life. Learned a ton to add to some prior barback experience. JoAnne was a fantastic teacher and would bend over backwards to help her students. Truly a treasure to work with and I would recommend anyone and everyone come to Mix 'Em Up to learn under her. 10/10

Anyone looking to become a bartender needs to come here! I just graduated last week and it was an incredible experience. Joanne and Joey are like family now! They're patient, kind and know how to give you real world tips and advice to get out into the business! The 2 week night part-time course went by in a blur! They're with you every single step of the way and offer to stay later if you need any extra help. They go above and beyond your average teacher. You're not going to want to leave once your course is over! But, with all of the job assistance they offer you'll be working in no time! With all the hands on learning I made it up to 22 drinks in the speed drills! All thanks to them :) now I feel the confidence I need to get out there and start applying. I'll be back for refresher courses!! They are hands down the best teachers you could ever ask for!
