Reviews to Miller-Clark Animal Hospital
A truly wonderful place to bring your pet. At our first visit I was so impressed with the level of professionalism, compassion and level of care we received from Miller-Clark. Our Vet took time to thoroughly talk through our options and together we agreed on the right treatment that was affordable to us. We will certainly be back, and are so happy to found a vet that really cares :)

I have been going there for 10 years, they are caring, practical and professional. Dr Gina always is kind enough to examine my dog on the floor because she is nervous on the table.

My family and I have been going to Miller and Clark Animal Hospital for close to 20 years and cannot say enough good things about this place. We have always felt the doctors genuinely care about their patients and love helping the animals and helping us as owners make the right decision for them. And as pet owners that have animals with special needs, we cannot express our gratitude enough.
In the recent years, we've had the pleasure of working with Dr. Gina, Dr. Saura, and Dr. Klock.
Our dogs absolutely love Dr. Saura and she always asks how my mother's little old pup is doing. When the little guy was having some issues, even though she was not the one treating him, she took the time to console my mother and encourage her that the little guy was going to be ok. Dr. Klock was treating him at that point and he did such an amazing job on the little guys difficult surgery. The whole staff worked so hard and they were able to get him back up and running and a year later he is still going strong at 14 years old.
My most recent experience has been with Dr. Klock in treating my guinea pig. He's been amazing in taking the time to make sure he's doing the right thing for her and is so patient in dealing with her difficult situation and surgery. He takes the time to explain the procedures and explain what is happening to my little girl which is greatly appreciated since I'm the type of person who likes to educate myself about the situation at hand. And again, the entire staff, from the doctors to the vet techs, to the front desk are genuinely concerned and engaged in this little ones recovery.
I highly recommend this practice, not only do they work to help your pet the best they can, they work to help the owners get through the healing process as well.

This vet will cost you an arm and a leg, but I think it's worth it. I am young and make about $15k/year with no insurance or benefits before taxes, so spending a couple grand on an emergency visit is a detriment to my well being to say the least.
I worked at an animal shelter for a while and we took all of our dogs/cats here. They always treated our animals amazingly and handled emergencies flawlessly. (We once had a dog that ripped out it's own stitching after being neutered and continued to chew on his own insides, yes, gruesome, but also saved and returned to 100% health).
My rescue cat, Aggie, was given her final diagnosis here, and Dr. Gina is always very compassionate. When I got her she was scheduled to be put down the next day because she was so depressed from being at the shelter she would not eat, drink or even look up, I took her home and nursed her back to health and she lived another amazing, fun filled three months before her heart disease caused her to have a stroke.
My rats who have since passed were under the care of now retired Dr. Pinckney were always given good treatment. My rat Basil was very overweight and developed a respiratory infection, although given antibiotics he did not recover but I believe the dr did his best to help Basil. (At the cost of $350)
Most recently, my rescue cat Vivian is currently being treated for a kidney infection and is staying there for at least 2 days to flush out her system. She is very old (15-17) and because the treatment is not invasive, I decided to go ahead. Last year I also had renal failure and Vivian was by me every step of the way, so I would never let her down. A two day stay with three shots and IV saline fluids is going to cost me upwards of $1,000. Hopefully her health continues to improve and we get some more healthy, happy time together. I dropped her off this morning and was able to come back and visit before the day was over. I was encouraged to call as many times as I want to check in and see how she's doing.
Update: Vivian was euthanized this morning, and I believe the vets did everything they could to make her comfortable this past week. Her situation was not improving when I brought her home and she couldn't sustain without being on an IV. Special thanks to Dr. Gina and the staff for being so compassionate and trying to give Vivian the best possible options. PLEASE ADOPT - if more people did maybe Vivian wouldn't have spent the majority of her life in a shelter.
Dr. Gina volunteers at clinics and dedicates her time to helping animals that have undergone animal testing/experimentation. I am very surprised to see some of the disgruntled comments on the reviews. Sometimes it is your animal's time, and sometimes no matter what you need to get a second opinion. Diagnosing illnesses is not a perfect science as we would like to think.
Bottom line, this is top notch vet care. Be prepared to pay top dollar, but I don't think you should own a pet if you are not willing to do so.

I absolutely despise these horrible "vets". They brought ring worm into my home and refused x-rays to my old dog which led to him dying in my arms in the middle of the night. They also charge insane amounts of fees/charges for ridiculous and inconclusive opinions not based on any true diagnoses. First problem was when I took my old rescued rottie there. I said something was wrong with his midsection or back legs and asked them to x-ray him. They REFUSED to do it. They said it was definitely not necessary. I pushed, they kept refusing. Dr. Amerling said he was, "too young". He couldn't have been younger than 7 or 8. Three months later, my rottie had an abscess in his leg. They did a sonogram and they found a HUGE cancer mass around his lower stomach. They gave him 1-3 months and he died 20 days later in my arms in the middle of the night. I couldn't carry his 135 pound body alone and had no help at 3am. I watched him suffer and gasp his last breath!! He weighed more than me so I couldn't take him to an emergency clinic and I wasn't prepared for such an early death! Thanks for letting my dog die young and horribly!!!!!!! Next issue: My cat had a bowel issue and she would stop eating every 3-6 weeks. I knew that meant her bowel track was backed up and she needed to go to the vet to have it cleared by hand within a minute. No problem. One day, I noticed her ears were all crusty. I took her to Miller and Clark THREE times and Dr. Antiaris misdiagnosed it every time! She prescribed salves and gels but nothing worked. I finally complained to other people and was given the best referral to see Dr Jiao at The Westchester Animal Hospital. The mourning of our appointment, it came to me, "ring worm!" So my cat, who was a rescue and spent 90+% of her first 16 years of life hiding in the finished attic bedroom, had ring worm. How did a cat who hid and was always an indoor cat get ring worm? Miller and Clark!! And Dr. Antiaris misdiagnoses it THREE TIMES!! That is NOT ACCEPTABLE!! A vet that cannot properly diagnose something as SIMPLE as ring worm is a vet I'd never return to! The ring worm had already spread to our other older cat, then our older chow mix and then my mother. Constant vacuuming, bleaching and destroying our fabrics, it still took YEARS to get it out of our house!!! Can you imagine?! It HURT my mother. It was in our house for YEARS!! It was horrible! I also knew Dr. Antiaris years before she was a vet. She was too busy being a flirt to help other animals in another facility than to say, suggest to pet owners and coworkers to put terminally ill animals who were falling over in their cages to sleep. I do not think she should be in the veterinary field at all!.. since these are LIFE'S at stake! Lastly, I found a woodchuck and was told by an animal rehabber to bring it there. They told me he'd be looked after for rabies for ten days and THEN treated. They then told my friend, but never contacted me, to say they were going to euthanize him if he wasn't picked up by the following day. It took me hours and the help of strangers to catch him and then they lied to me! Thankfully, my friends knew a woman willing to take him and she picked him up the next morning. I named him Ferris, after the road I found him on (and Bueller). It turned out Ferris had a very bad ear infection and that was the only reason he wasn't scared of me and why he was walking in circles in the road. Guess they didn't care. Amazing for an "animal health" clinic to turn their back on a little critter when they must rake in thousands of dollars and hour. I think the Miller and Clark people are awful. Just awful. Go to Dr. Jiao. He even helped my old cat's bowel issue so where I was going to Miller and clark every 3-6 weeks, I took her to Dr. Jiao every 2-3 months. Big difference in care, treatment, accuracy and compassion with Dr. Jiao!!!
