MMI is a terrific place to come for your Imaging needs. Dr. Heideman is an incredible Doctor. He is compassionate and warm. He treats you like your special and he has the best bed side manner of any Doctor I've ever had. I recommend him and this facility always.

Wow!! My experience at Millburn Medical Imaging went beyond my expectations. The minute I walked in I was greeted by a most pleasant receptionist. She had forms prepared with my name already on it. The office was run with efficiency, professionalism, sensitivity and on time.
I had an appointment for a mammography. Dr Alan Heideman met with me before the exam to let me know what to expect. I was introduced to Linda, the mammography technician. The technician puts a soft pad on the machine to make this test as comfortable as possible. Linda was very caring and friendly and tried to make me feel more relaxed.
Right after the exam Dr Heideman reviewed the mammography. I really appreciate that the doctor looked at the images right away so I need not be anxious about the results. He requested an ultrasound to be sure all was ok since I have very dense breasts. Lacy the ultrasound tech was cheerful. Her gentle way put me at ease right away. The gel used for the exam was warm and made the exam much more comfortable.
Dr. Heideman thoroughness made me feel confident. He was professional and allowed me the opportunity to ask questions without feeling rushed or silly.

Overall, the office went out of their way to make me, the patient feel like a person they cared about. All there extra touches (padded Mammo, warm gel and most importantly immediate results) shows how they are very sensitive to their patients feelings. I would highly recommend this office.

If I could give this office zero stars, I would. I have never in my life had an experience like I had at this office. I went for an MRI with and without contrast. When I arrived at the office, it was a normal waiting room, nothing crazy. I arrived at 3:05 for a 3:15 appointment and was taken to the MRI area at 3:40, ok not so awful. When I arrived at the MRI area, there was a really nice technician there who was helpful in answering the questions I had. She told me that SHE would be back in after the first part of the MRI to add the IV with contrast. After a while the technician checks in over the speaker and it was a man's voice...ok? where did the woman go? After the first part, he comes in and says he will be administering the contrast. He didn't even introduce himself or say anything along the lines of "sorry the first woman had to leave, I am here to take over the rest of the MRI" ... nothing. He didn't event tell me his name until I asked him myself.

This is where the bad part came in. While still laying down, he tried to insert the IV into my hand. He was able to get it the first time, but then walked away to get something, tape I assume, and the IV came out. He tried FOUR more times in the same hand until I started to get really upset with him. I told him this was insane and he told me he would bring the doctor in. So, the doctor comes in and I'm thinking he would try to do the IV himself, not at all! he just stood over the technician and was saying "oh well you should have drank more water maybe". So the technician tried my other had TWO more times and ... so how many is that now??? SEVEN TIMES he stuck me trying to find a vein that was clearly visible in both hands and where I have had blood taken and IV's in numerous times. If I look at where the stick marks are in my hand, they aren't event close to where my veins are. This technician had absolutely NO business administering the IV, neither did the doctor since he didn't even bother trying.

I went home, only having the first part of my test done and I have to go back to have the other. I called the office manger, to let her know what happened. She was very apologetic and agreed with me that the technician should not have tried so many times. Still doesn't make anything better since I have to go somewhere else to have the test done from the start.

please please please choose somewhere else to go for an MRI w/ contrast. absolutely horrendous experience.

I went to Millburn on 7/7/15 for several tests. Dr. Heideman and staff were truly incredible people. The care and devotion to my needs were met and exceeded my expectations.The office is very well run and very relaxing while you wait.I would recommend this facility to meet your mediical needs.
