Midnight Express Diner

Stay away far away! This place is overpriced for no reason at all. There is a much better spot down the street on 89th across from the park. Service is cool but the food is not.

One of my favorite dinners in all of NYC. Great food, friendly service, nice cozy environment, and pricing is fair.

I find it extremely unprofessional to have Midnight Express -- as Sammy the night manager said -- round off charges, to the point that an order comes out costing a person $2, $3, $4 more than advertized just by rounding off. Now $2, $3 or $4 is not going to break the bank. But how easily Midnight Express increases their daily take on meals. By going into our pocket and filling their pockets by a few hundred dollars at the end of the day.Shame on you. Oh, and NYC/NYS restaurant meal tax is 0.0875. By rounding off and tacking another $1, I wound up paying $4.00 extra on my order. Yes, $4.00 extra. That is scandalous. Not for the amount of money I was taken for, but for the amount of money -- at this rate -- all customers are being taken for.
