Midas West Caldwell

I needed a new catalytic converter for my car. The dealer price quoted was outrageous IMO so I shopped around at local muffler shops. Had a good experience at this shop near to me in West Caldwell. They searched around for the cheapest parts supplier and were quick and efficient with the installation. Also while I was waiting in the office the owner or manager dealt with a client in a way that benefited the customer and not the business. A guy needed alignment on a car less than 2 years old. They sent him away telling him his dealer should have that covered under warranty. I'm bringing these guys all my business in future. Their cost for my cc was about 45% cheaper than what the dealership quoted.

I've been coming here for years to get my oil change for 3 main reasons.
1- It's walking distance to my house, so dropping off/picking up is easy.
2- They haven't ever tried to screw me into some unnecessary repair.
3- No problems with their work or prices.

I went in today and saw that it was under new ownership. The interior had some minor renovations and had a cleaner feel to it. The new owner and staff were all really nice and took care of my car quickly and applied a current promo to save me a couple $.

Solid place, will keep using and definitely recommend if looking for an honest shop.
