Worst place. They were incredibly rude to me. I am a NYC and NYS public school teacher working with students with special needs. They refused to honor my tax exempt form with proper documentation and ID. They were disrespectful to me and the population of students I work with. Unfortunately I had to leave without purchasing any items because of their attitude and unprofessionalism. Please do not support such an institution, Dick blick is so much better!

I had a large mirror framed here and was just amazed with the experience I had for a store that is this big. I had several issues with the mirror... I brought it there with my husband and then saw that a small part was broken. Then the manufacturer agreed to send me a new one and I donated the broken one to a friend. It was all kind of confusing, but the people working at Michael's did an amazing job coordinating all my odd requests. I was truly impressed!

Michael's is the place to go for all your crafting needs. There is always a 40% coupon off one full price item that you can find online and they have wifi since there is no service in the lower level store.
I can always find something new at Michael's, from chalkboard paint, to yarn to kid's tents!

Staff member was over-the-top helpful. We called and actually received accurate information regarding "left in stock" seasonal items. Then I got assistance with carts and recommendations on other sale seasonal items. Fall items are largely 70% off and the line moved quickly. Woo hoo!

There is a Michaels in the city!! Conveniently located near the 96th Street red and blue lines, this Michaels is relatively clean and organized. They have a huge selection of paper craft items, as well as blank t-shirts and buttons for Halloween costume-making. They don’t seem to have a lot of fake flower arrangements and knitting materials at this location, though. And like any Michaels, you’ll receive a boatload of fantastic coupons that will make you coming back for more supplies. Grr, such a smart marketing scheme.
