Metropolitan Pacific Properties

I have found Metropolitan Pacific Properties to be very reliable and attentive at all times. They practice what they preach and are professional in everything they do. Many property management companies I have dealt with in the past do not have the resources or provide the level of care for each property that Metropolitan does. On a personal note, the managers are professional and knowledgeable, delivering what they say they will. To me, that makes a big difference. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs professional management of their building.

Metropolitan Pacific Properties have been our property managers for many years. They are unreliable, unprofessional, unresponsive, unaccountable, and more of a liability than an asset to the building. Their fiscal management and reporting is horrible, with constant and recurrent mistakes such as paying bills late and charging late fees in maintenances that don’t exist…more serious and unexpected mistakes include charging or crediting shareholders money that belong to people to other properties, then ‘adjusting’ the bills but never calling or writing to the person with an apology or an explanation; and that’s another constant, they will never apologize or acknowledge a mistake!
We, the shareholders/board of directors, have to take care of issues ourselves quite frequently, such as arranging for services to be provided or calling vendors to clarify charges, etc, because Metropolitan would not do it…their other constant is “I left a message and I’m waiting to hear back”…or “I left several messages and I’m waiting for their call back” – we will then call the same vendor, who ALWAYS say no one from Metropolitan called them.
We complained regularly, but nothing changed. – Till we finally got the president of the company to ‘pay attention to us’…and instead of apologizing or offering to remedy any of the issues, he said ‘ you always look at the glass half empty; take this e-mail as our 2-moth termination notice’, and terminated our contract!!!! – this is beyond unprofessional!
We fortunately found a professional and reputable management company to take over….we are now hopeful that Metropolitan will cooperate with the transition.

These people are the absolute worst. I m so disgusted by the attitude I get every time I make a call there. Myself and all the other residents have been speaking to one another and we all figured out that we get blown off left and right by them. building buzzer has been broken for a year and a 1/2 at LEAST and they will do nothing about it. Awful attitudes, complete lack of communication and just total disorganization make Metropolitan Pacific Properties the worst "management" I have ever seen or dealt with. Avoid dealing with them at all costs

I generally think that the property managment industry is flooded with crooks and bottom feeders. I have a long history of board dealings and have seen my fair share of management companies during the 20 years of serving on my Board and in business dealings. Since Metropolitan Pacific started managing my 16 building 600+ unit cond-op in Astoria, we have had a total transformation since the early ninetys when Metropolitan first started managing here. What was once a drug dealer/user haven is now a beautiful courtyard. We have plenty of young couples walking around the property at night and it warms my heart to see this. Yes their are problems that Metropolitan is working to fix still on the property, but they are still working! and that is the important part. Our building is in rough financial times these past few years and Metropolitan has been working diligently to prevent the need for a maintenance increase and we are thankful for that. Above all, they are the friendliest, passionate, and most dedicated property management company I can think of and I feel lucky that we have them, and am confident that we will be with this company for years and years to come! Highly Reccommend this company to any property in need of a good management company.
