Elegante....exquisito....preciosa cena de gala...

No he estado nunca pero me gustaría alojarme en el Metropolitan Club de Nueva York alguna vez y pasar unos dias alli.

Warning: Watch your valuables! Use the in-room safes. Most of our suites and rooms were rifled through while we attended wedding-related events in May 2013. A police report was filed for the cash that was stolen. However, we did not file about the small items that were stolen from the various suites and wedding venues (some fake furs that were used as props, a silk tie, cash from ladies' purses, a toiletries bag from a packed suitcase in their manned luggage room).

Yes, the Met Club's public spaces are beautiful, and I would recommend it for a wedding ceremony (with the caveat that you should watch your valuables at all times). However, I do not recommend staying there. My family has traveled extensively in the US and around the world and has never encountered employees that are this unprofessional and indifferent; some were overtly rude. Because we are very polite, American-born, working professionals, the only explanations I could think of is that we are not Club members or that we are not white. FYI, the fitness room is for men only; women are not allowed.

Got to get into the building that was designed by my FAVORITE architect of America - Stanford White - and what a BEAUTIFUL place this is. Each floor decked out with incredible eye candy, wow-factor work. And so much has been kept in line with the original work. Loved it and wished I had the $$$ and connections to become a member. Ahhh..dreaming....
