Metro Sushi Cafe

This place is fantastic. I am usually very critical when it comes to eating at a sushi restaurant. I will initially always judge them by there tuna. Why? Because its so simple. Yet you always need to find a rich red color in your tuna not a pink not a rosy red a deep red and they had it!

The gyoza and miso were awesome starters. Not to mention for the quality everything was super inexpensive which is awesome!

But what really stuck out about this place was there hospitality. Everyone was so nice and welcoming I spent 2:30hrs here not only did they not rush me out the lit me sit and work! And they were so nice an attentive the entire time. If you live near or in Kew Gardens in New York this place is a GEM! for the sushi fanatic.

Food wasn't all that good and delivery took a long time to arrive. Not exceptionally bad but there are definitely better places around here.

Ordered from this place a few times and normally would put up with ignorance but this would be my LAST order from Metro Sushi Cafe..

So I call the restaurant to place an order for delivery and the first thing the woman says is whats your phone number? I gave her my number and then she starts yelling random numbers and I don't know what the hell she is saying or what she is talking about. Apparently she was yelling my address at me. The communication process was horrid and she claimed not to hear me even though I was calling from my house phone which has a much better connection than my cell phone. When she called back I asked her to repeat my order and she added things that I never even asked for - definitely trying to overcharge me. I was disappointed and already planning to give a sh*t tip.

As if it couldnt get any worse....The delivery guy calls me from a different number and says something really fast with his accent. I didn't know the number nor did I know what he was saying so I simply said "Im sorry who is this?" and he impatiently starts yelling "Its the delivery, dont you know!!!!" At this point I am appalled. I answer my door and give a decent tip but the guy starts yelling "this is what you tip...tomorrow pick up!" ..as if I would ever order from them again with that attitude. Beware.

Not only that, the sushi was not fresh and it was shaken all around so it was covered in wasabi. My lunch was ruined and they definitely lost a great customer.
