Courteous staff worked in an efficient manner. It took longer to fill out one sheet of health history, than I waited to be seen. Doctor was thorough, during his comprehensive exam. Very satified with appointment. Everything is so shiny and new!

Our recent experience and continued visit at the new Metro Optics turned out to be quite amazing. My wife and I came in to get her an eye exam and possible a new prescription with both frames and contact lenses. I myself sit in front of a computer for 20+ hours a day but never had glasses so I figured I would get an exam as well. From the very first visit to this location the customer service, selection of frames and overall experience was amazing! My wife and I were in the store for almost 5 hours (my wife could not make up her mind on which frames she wanted) and at no point in time did the representative within the store make us feel rushed or annoyed in taking so long. Also the fitting fee for her contacts was honestly more than a reasonable charge considering what is included with it and how long it took for my wife to actually get her contact lenses in her eyes, it even included follow visits so I have no complaints regarding that. Also after my exam I didn't know I need glasses until I put on my new prescription and the difference was like night and day (primarily for reading and being in front of the computer). This store is outside of our normal vision coverage and honestly I have no problem going there again. A+ in my book.

Don't bother, this place is all about money and not customer relations. I went for an eye exam and once I ask for a copy of my eye prescription to purchase contacts some where else, they charged me "CL FEE" 25.00. from past experience in other optical my insurance always covers the full visit. I ask about this hidden "fee" and they told me it was a fee to update my file..... I think we can all agree this is ridiculous and Is a way to collect more money from the consumer. nice people and atmosphere but careful with their fees. I have also advise NYC DCA in regards because I was not aware of such fee/charge before or during my visit. I didn't pick lenses that day because the ones my insurance covers weren't on display at the time, BUT I will not be returning and will obtain my lenses somewhere else with out hidden fees.*****regards to owner response, your response could have been summarized in 2 sentences. My receipt is in the photo section, stating "CL UPDATE"/Client update.nothing about fitting... And as the receipt states I never received glasses, so why the "fitting" you claim? Careful consumers, but it is a visually nice location.

I have been a patient of Metro Optics at the Westchester Sq location for many, many years. I have ALWAYS been very pleased with the quality of the eye exam, the quality of the glasses I have had made and the generous amount of attention from everyone who works there. I have always been given an honest education in picking frames and lenses. The time and patience given by the employees is unending. Every pair of glasses are great and the progressive lenses are always made properly with hardly any adjustment time. This time around I visited the Throgs Neck Office and it is magnificent. It is roomy and there is ample parking. There are so many frames to pick from I could of spent the day. I had three pairs of glasses made and they were ready in no time. Thank you to Aurora and her staff. The place is great and will always have my loyalty.
