Didn't attempt to start my snowblower until Tuesday before the impending Storm Jonas that will hit tomorrow (Saturday). Of course, the machine would not turn over and so I was in a panic since shoveling 12+ inches of snow is rather impossible for me. Called Merit and spoke with Rick. They picked up my machine Wednesday morning and delivered it back fixed and cleaned Friday morning!! What a relief! Thank you Rick, Jen, and Kevin for having my back. I would not only recommend Merit to all of my friends and neighbors, but I wouldn't use any other company for my service needs!!!! Bravo!!

The owner of merit power has to be the nicest person in this industry. He went out of his way to stay open late for me and my mother to help fix our lawnmower and told us that if we ever need to come back to him to have any of our power equipment serviced that he will give us a 10% discount. The store may look less than impressive but the quality of work that comes out of that bussiness is exceptional. I'd reccomend merit power to any one.

The owner was rude and condescending from the moment we walked into the store. Begrudgingly dropped off my machine (no other repair center anywhere near me), and a week and a half later I called to see if it was ready. He snapped at me for "calling a bunch of times" even though that was the first call I'd ever made to the store. Save yourself a frustrating interaction, and avoid this place if you can.

Read all the reviews before visiting this place. I fell for his same trick. Rich the owner quoted me $30 in parts, the next day he charges $200, never calling beforehand to ask if ok. Argues relentlessly and holds deposit and item hostage until paid up. Terrible scam business he is running

I needed a new string thingy for our Weed Wacker, so I brought over to Merit. The guy there said he didn't have the exact part, but the one he did have was better. I asked him how much for the part, and he quoted me 18 dollars. I agreed on the price, and he asked me if i wanted it installed and it would take about 5 minutes, I said sure. While wating, I ran into the deli next door, when I returned the Weed Wacker was ready. ......... Over 40 dollars it cost me, 20 dollars just to put the thing on. I thought that's a little expensive, but what is done is done. Got the thing home, and it immediately fell apart on my son. I took the whole thing back to Merit and almost immediately got blamed for abusing it. Apparently my son was to rough on this new part, and that's why it failed. Asked for a replacement, not without another 40+ dollars. Demanded my money back, not a chance in hell. Later on my husband did return the part for a refund, guess the guy at Merit didn't want to go toe to toe with an ex Marine.
