Mercy Obstetrics & Gynecology: Ratakonda Uma D MD

I was recommended by my primary doctor who said doctor Uma was good. When I got there the staff was friendly but the doctor makes you feel uncomfortable. Every question that I answered she seemed to be judging me. Only been there once & decided not to go back.

The staff are lovely, but the doctor had a chip on her shoulder.
It was my first time visiting an OBGYN since conceiving and while I didn't know what to expect, I was pretty sure it shouldn't be judgement or hostility. The doctor told me in a very snide way that I didn't do my homework about Gardasil because I said I didn't want it and hadn't thought I was old enough to have it when it came out. I didn't think I would have to tell her that I don't necessarily go for vaccines unless and until they are proven as safe as they can possibly be and that I had known people who had bad reactions to it. It seemed like she was hinting that I should have it. However, this woman had refused to look me in the eye when I was sitting directly in front of her having my blood pressure done. She didn't want to be there and let me know it, so I left without even having anything done besides a pregnancy test and blood pressure. It's a shame since I really found the staff to be wonderful and the office was nice as well.
