The best pasta of my life. Incredible lasagna! It's a small place, you can see the owner around, quiet. The price is fair. I had dinner twice, and certainly I'll have many more! *** My favorite restaurant in NYC ***

My boyfriend and I came here after searching on our phones of a great restaurant what was open somewhat late during the week in the city, and close to penn station. We discovered this little gem. The food was INCREDIBLE. The only downside is the fact that is so small, so your table will be directly beside someone elses and our wait service was a bit slow. But other than that we will definitely be coming back. The ravioli was so delicious i could of eaten it every day for the rest of my life.

Mercato really is a little known gem, amongst the best Italian places in the city, at this price range. Service is always friendly, wonderful cocktail list, amazing fresh pasta, and incredible specials every night. Mercato is able to take basic Italian dishes and make them astoundingly delicious, well worth a visit.
