- Very Good #68947
I came here over 20 years ago when the manager was Yonah Goren. My sister's Subaru had a hole in the exhaust. Rather than rip me off and try to replace the whole system, he fixed the section. 3 months ago, my car's tailpipe cracked. YG isn't there anymore, but the manager offered to do a reasonable fix instead of a costly full replacement

I was a long time customer for about 5 years. I used to come here when Rich was the manager and his crew were top notch. Rich was very professional and his mechanics knew how to get the job done. If I had a problem, they knew what it was right away and they fixed it immediately for me. If I needed an oil change, it was done in about 15 minutes or even less. Since a couple of months ago, this place is under new management and not for the better. They don't take appointments off the website and they are always swamped with cars and customers have to be turned away. Four weeks ago I took my car here for an oil change and get a whole new set of brakes. After it was done, the brakes started to make knocking noises. I took it back the next day, they looked at it and said it was bad drums. They replaced it with no charge. This time the mechanic said he adjusted my emergency brake because it was out of alignment. Yet again, the brakes were making a knocking noises like a rock into a frying pan and now every time I was braking it was sounding like it was stretching a rusty spring. I took it back a week later and told them what was happening. Their answer was "we have no idea what is going on." This is something every customer DOES NOT want to hear when it comes to auto repair. So I was forced to go to the Chevy dealership as a last resort today. They said all my brakes were out of alignment. I have brand new brakes and I shouldn't be hearing anything at all. The front calipers and links also needed to be replaced when the new brake pads and rotors were installed and the brake fluid also needed to be flushed. After $490 later at the car dealer, my brakes are fixed and quiet now. I lost all confidence in this Meineke under this new management. It's sad Rich left and wish I knew where went to. This Meineke center lost a long time customer.
