McLoone's Woodbridge Grille

One of the worst customer service in the state of NJ, the ladies at the bar needs to know the meaning of " Customer Service " Just enjoy horse racing don't even think of getting food at the restaurant. ..

My husband and I went to McLoone's for the Kentucky Derby. What a disappointment!! At post time they turned all the TV's, but 3, to a different race!! They only had 1 waitress for the floor area on Kentucky Derby Day!! Not sure who was in charge but that person lost them a lot of money and should be let go!!!

The only reason why I go back to this place is the one menu item that I purchased the first time I went there last summer. I had the pulled pork on a burger; I cannot remember what the name of it is. I've been back about 10 times and continue to order that same burger. It's a burger with pulled pork on it, not just pulled pork on a roll. It continues to be the absolute best burger I've ever eaten in my life and steak/burgers are what I eat the most in my 27 years. I'm sure there will be haters saying, "Well, obviously you need to get out more if THAT'S the best burger you've ever had." Hell, I've been all over this country and yes, I'll say my second best burger came in Bismarck, North Dakota -- a bison burger. I've eaten at steakhouses in NYC where steaks cost $90 - $150 (business meetings, of course). I've been to Sparks, Smith & Wolensky's, you name it. So I've put your thoughts to rest about me living under a rock for 27 years. The pulled pork burger is the best damn burger ever. Let me also add that I graduated with my MBA from Monmouth University and went to the McCloone's Pier House on the beach at Pier Village. Sure the view was great, but NO pulled pork burger. I had to settle for a regular burger or something like that. It was OK. But only McCloone's Woodbridge Grille makes this burger apparently. And if they ever take it off the menu, I will not return.

Let me also add that the service is OK. Since they eventually serve me my pulled pork burger, I am rating the service "Good". But every time it does seem that it takes the waitresses a LONG time to come to (a) seat you, so I just seat myself, and (b) take your order. Now, if the place was packed, that's one thing. But usually I'm one of like 2-3 tables in the entire place. Yes, there is the other side for the OTB racetrack which maybe focuses more of their attention…? I don't know, but the service could use a little pick-me-up.

But anyway, the pulled pork burger rocks and I'm going to go eat it again there tonight! YIPEE!!!

I love going to the race track and I am also a Owner of horses. I have been going to this place for over 3 yrs and I have had nothing but problems after problems. The service is so poorly managed I cant even explain to you in this brief review. The people they have talking the orders make mistake after mistake . The help is always standing in the back room and talking instead of doing there job. Your paying $ 15.00 for a burger and it comes out cold because the help is always chatting and goofing around instead of working. If your looking for waitress service forget it ! The waitress staff is never around and most of the time you have to actually flag them down in the back room area where they are always goofing around and talking to other co- workers instead of doing there job. I have bought this to the attention of several managers and it has never been corrected. In fact this week there was incident that occured where I was cut off from service because I complained that the service was awful and my $ 15.00 cheeseburger was cold AGAIN ! Thats a smart move Mr.Manager . So bottom line is I have never seen worse service or management in my life. Its a shame because they do have good food.
