McGuire Buick GMC

Over a month after our purchase, and we're still waiting on license plates!

In case you're from some other part of the country, you should know that around here, the dealer registers your car and gets your plates for you.

That sounds really convenient until you meet the folks at McGuire, whose incompetence would be hilarious if it weren't so infuriating. I bought my car there over a month ago, and I'm still waiting on plates.

It's a pretty long saga (well, more of a Monty Python skit, except not remotely funny), but here are some highlights:

* They didn't actually start the process of obtaining our plates until I contacted them to say that my dealer plates were about to expire.
* They said they would send an extension letter for the dealer plates while we waited on the real ones, but they never sent it.
* They finally, FINALLY say they have the plates at their office but then claim they don't have my address (which of course I have given them multiple times, including in the same email thread where this claim was made).

This has without exaggeration been the worst customer experience of my life, worse than any cellphone company, worse than any cable company.

DON'T do business with them if you would actually like to drive your car legally after buying it.

If you are reading this too late and have Googled up this review, you need to call them every half hour every day until you get your plates in your hands. It might also help to drive down there and warn other customers as they walk in. I promise you won't get any help until you resort to extreme measures. Good luck.

As a student, it's been really hard to find a leasing deal that works for me. Tommy really worked with me to make sure all my needs were met. I am definitely going to renew my lease here and would recommend to everyone, not sure what all these bad reviews are about.

My car buying experience was seamless. After shopping around to a couple other dealerships, McGuire was able to give me the best deal for the car that I want. Love driving my new Terrain, thank you McGuire team!!!

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT buy a car from this dealership!!!!!!!! I have experienced the worst customer service in my life doing business with this dealership, something which I extremely regret. Everyone who works at this dealership is a THIEF and a liar, from the general management all the way down to the salespeople. This dealership truly gives a bad name to all of those working in the auto industry, because I have never encountered such SCUM. It took me 3 months to get permanent plates for my car, which doesn't include being swindled and bamboozled and cheated out of every dollar I make just to get plates. It's an unfortunate circumstance when I would rather still ride public transportation than to deal with this dealership and its employees EVER again. If you can save yourself the time, stress, and MONEY by going to a different dealership, than please do. Hopefully they won't be in business anymore after I report them to the BBB immediately after posting this review.

P.S.- My review is the only truthful one on here, considering they trick everyone else into writing good FALSE reviews on here. Just another example of what liars they are I guess.
