MBJ Dry Cleaner Corporation

I stopped by this dry cleaners to get a quote for a cardigan and the guy asks for $40. Shocked, I asked if I misunderstood. Nope. Granted it was a nice cardigan, but seriously?! It cost me $80 so how am I paying half its value to clean it? Highway robbery.

Here's the kicker - went back 8 hours later and asked the same question to a lady working there. She quoted me $30. Don't go here.. Clearly these people are dishonest.

UPDATE: Went to King's dry cleaner across the street the next day and they quoted me $17. Just to give you a sense of how overpriced this place is.

They have a minimum balance of $20 for a credit card, which is against the rules for Visa. The largest minimum balance Visa allows is a $10 minimum. They actually sent me out into the rain without my item because they refused to charge $12 to my credit card. What company who cares about returning customers does that?

This is one of the best dry cleaners I have ever been to anywhere. They are on time with items, never damaged anything of mine, always did a good cleaning on every item, and also did some excellent tailoring on pants and dresses, as well as repairs. I've been going to them for 2.5 years because I live right on Bedford Street. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Also, if they cannot clean a fine item like knitted Missoni, they will recommend you elsewhere to someone who can do it - rather than screwing up your garment as so many dry cleaners do! They are honest and good family owned company!
