Maywood Market catered my holiday party on 12/19. All of the food was wonderful. Everyone especially loved the chicken rollatini and the mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat & shrimp hot appetizer. Because I have a wheat allergy, they made two of their dishes penne in vodka sauce and penne Siciliano wheat free. Both were delicious. They did a great job of setting up everything. No one left hungry. And, even with 30+ people, I had so much food leftover. Thanks Maywood Market for making my Holiday Party a great success. Happy New Year!

I love this market! Has the look, feel and variety of the type of upscale markets this New Yorker has seen in Manhattan -- but the prices are fantastic for most items. The prepared foods are better than comparable offerings at Whole Foods.

In business everything is not only about the food but about customer service and how the experience can make a good or bad impact. My coworkers and I organized a 4th of July event. Because we have some vegetarians in our group and some in special diets, we decided to order hero sandwiches to include vegetarians and other with cold cuts. During the order, it was decided to change hero for wraps to make it more appealing to everyone. We also changed some other orders but kept our original half cold cuts and half vegetarian. There is food that is affordable but there are other that you can make at home that they charge too much. In addition, we were charge with $15.00 delivery plus tips. When I asked for a reduction on the charge, I was told by Costas that we were working in a high end place and couldn't lower the charge despite of me explaining that the order came from us not from our employer. At the end we decided to go ahead with the order because we were told the food worth it. But when we got the order we didn't get any vegetarians. I called to make them aware of the situation and all I could get as that it was "my mistake", I messed it up" and basically I was treated like I was complaining for the order only to get money back.. It doesn't matter how good is the food, the people in charge is not up to par. I will never order from them again. For me, it takes only one bad experience to ruin it all and never ordered again from places where no other but excellent service along with good food is available to us. Not being Italian or American also didn't help to the situation.

- Very Good #53915
Let me start off by saying that I've been shopping here for years now(even with my mother when i was a youngin'), and the market has come a long way. Not only is it a typical grocery market, but you will find a wide variety of raw, whole foods. So you health nuts better get your running sneakers and head uptown. All of that tasty goodness is a solid foundation of appeal in my book, but pay attention. Maywood Market has the best prepared foods you can get in the area. Not only will MMP satisfy your digestive tract with my favorite, Their famous chicken breast, broccoli/tomatoes, and their sweet mashed potatoes, but your pockets too. This will usually cost me around 10 dollars and I can make two meals out of this. If your not a chicken person, don't stop reading here. There are a number of different fishes, sushi, veggie dishes, wraps, salads, you name it they make it. The only knock I do have is the size. Fairly small and tight quarters inside. Parking may also give you a reason to scream, it gets pretty busy.
Would i recommend??? YOU BET!!!
