They are Honest, great prices and efficient. I would only use Mavis Discount Tires.

Stay away! Poor customer service, management of the techs is horrible. Was promissed an hour turn around and it turned into two. Each time I saw the tech he said "just two more minutes". Missed my next appointment because of them. If they are unable to get the job done in the promises time they should not accept the job. Stay away.

They were unable to give us a call when they found a problem durring an inspection. This lead to it being another 1 hour and 30 minutes extra ontop of it all. Bad experience

Never never never ever again! Bad experience a couple years ago with my Audi A4. I just had to put my dedicated winter tires and rims on my car. Take 4 wheels off and put 4 wheels on. The tech placed my summer tires face down on the cement scratching the rims. Complained to the bald manager (at the time). His response was "I'll check the video tape". Then he "disappeared" for a couple minutes and said he didn't see his worker put my rims face down. He probably went to the bathroom or the lunch room to kill time to make it look like he was "checking tape". Vowed to never go to Mavis again.

Fast forward a couple years I'm looking for winter tires. I go to Mavis on a Saturday to see if they have a specific winter tire for my car. The tech says they don't have that brand and it will take 2 weeks to get the tire in and recommended another tire. I told him I'd think about it. I go home to research and called back the same Mavis I was just at a couple hours prior and asked if they had the winter tire I originally was looking for (new tech on the phone). He said he could get the tire in 3 days (Tuesday). Ok I set up an appointment for Tuesday. I drop off my car at 7:30 before they open and have someone follow me to give me a ride back home. I get a call a couple hours later and they said my tires won't be here until Thursday. Why did they tell my Tuesday then?? That was the last straw.

I called Firestone and they could have my tire in 2 hours.

Mavis in Port Chester is very unprofessional, inconvenient, inexperienced and inconsiderate. I will NEVER go to them for tires as long as I live. Nor will my family or friends.

Tire prices where comparable, but where these guys try to get you is all of the bull crap add on items that you don't need.

1. attempted to sell me a front end alignment I didn't need.
2. Added in a "tire warranty" I didn't ask for nor was advised was put on my bill.
3. Although the shop was still open, they couldn't process the credit because their "accounting" department was closed. Forced me to have to go back the next day to process the credit.
4. Credit would take up to (30) days to be refunded to my account.
3. Added 2 front tires, but asked that they not take the 1 good one, I could use it as a spare - they took it.

These are the things that automotive shops do to rip people off. It looks like Mavis Nanuet could be a poster child for this crap.
