Matteo's Howard Beach

PERFECT location for our friends reunion yesterday! The wait staff service was very attentive & engaging. They really took care of us ladies!

This was my first time at Matteo's, so I will write from my experience. [Noted food snob here] I must say, I am still thinking about the dishes served. That's HOW GOOD it was!
On our table for the sharing, which the server portioned out to each of us.

The Matteo Chopped salad, (too chopped for me - but the others in the group loved it) Grilled Chicken over Escarole & Beans - Delicate and flavorful.
Chicken Francaise - just right.
Burnt Broccoli - so delicious
Hand Made Fusilli (perfectly cooked) Amatriciana (pancetta, sweet sausage in a pomodoro sauce) - This is still on my mind. That's how wonderful tasting this dish is.
ORDER IT!

Anthony, the General Manager is a true professional with great customer service. Smiling, politely chatting with arriving and seated guests; I'm sure making each of us feel like "we've arrived at a place that likes us and wants us to return". Worked for me.

It takes a lot to run a restaurant, but even more to keep a restaurant running. From the menu, waitstaff and manager - I'd say you have a winning combination!
This will be my go to restaurant when I'm in the neighborhood.

Always a great meal but currently a limited time lobster special that is delicious & should not be missed! Service was a little spotty today, absolutely no wait staff at all in the dining area for 10 minutes at a time. A little hard to fathom with so much staff. Great family style food, usually great wait service, & valet parking (free parking at the Capitol One parking lot on the corner). Recommend; Bolognese Sauce, & Cognac (same sauce with mushrooms) with pasta, Meunière Chilean Sea Bass with capers, Shrimp Parm, Anything Fra Diablo, Soft Shell Francese, & housemade Sangria

This is the second time I have been robbed by them. The waiter Anthony doubled charged me twice on two separate occasions. Seriously, be aware when going there!!!!! Saw many reviews on yelp saying the same thing.

Excellent food, superb service & friendly management. Also, they're open on Sunday's from 2-9. I'm not sure why Google has them listed as closed. Anyway, I always enjoy the meal and service that's is constantly given to me.

I went to Matteo's last night for the first time to meet some friends. Had a great time! Nice Restaurant, and the staff was friendly. C and Lauren (or Loren) were Excellent bartenders. Very outgoing personalities, they displayed a high degree of customer service, and, of course, their cocktail mixing skills were fabulous :-)! When i'm back in town we will certainly be returning.
