Matt's Auto Service Inc

I moved to Clifton about 3 years ago and needed a local mechanic. Matt has worked on my care about three different times and always fixes the problem efficiently and his prices are very fair. He also ordered some Goodyear tires and mounted them for me for a way better price than most. Highly recommend his service.

I have been going to Matt since the early 80's. I was recommended to him by my uncle who had several antique cars and knew a good mechanic when he saw one. I was with Matt in Botany Village, followed him to Clifton and Van Houten Avenue and now on Sargeant Avenue. He has taken care of my Toyota's, Chevy, Saturn and now Ford. He is very accommodating. I have recommended him to several people and they continue to use him and are very satisfied.

I have brought multiple cars on multiple occasions, both big and small, to Matt. He is always on time and makes sure that I know what is going on with the car. He prices his work fairly and I never feel like I am being ripped off. I recommend him to anybody who is looking for a solid family-owned garage.

We dropped our vehicle off on a Monday evening. We were told they would try to have it done by Tuesday or Wednesday. My husband was working out of state and returned on Friday. When he called about our vehicle on Friday (late afternoon), he was told that they hadn't even looked at it yet.

When they did finally look at it (Friday late afternoon, after my husband called), they proceeded to tell us there was nothing wrong with it. And then they charged us.

Thanks for leaving me vehicle-less for 4 days, being completely unhelpful regarding a diagnosis for our vehicle, and then charging us!

What a waste of our time and our money.

I just moved into the area and brought my car to Matt's Auto Service, as a friend from work recommended it to me. The service was great and my car was fixed fast and very well. He was very courteous, honest, and economical. I would highly recommend him.
