A good little sushi place that's has an insane lunch rush. Lots of lunch specials and my coworkers love ordering from here. Their miso cod is very tasty!

It's a popular lunch spots for people who work around this area.... but that's about it. I always get the lunch special bento box which is a good deal if you feel like taking a longer lunch break. Their rolls are pretty fresh and standard. However this is a very Americanized sushi restaurant and if you like sushi you should really venture further than this.
I have also tried their ramen which serves the purpose when I am really craving it on UES. However, again their ramen isn't very authentic neither. It's more like a mix between Japanese ramen and maybe a little more Chinese style soup noodles.
The service is usually quick and attentive. It's also a good place to order take out.

Came here for lunch with a group of 5 people and it did take a little while before we got seated. While waiting, I noticed a lot of take out orders. That is probably what keeps this place afloat. The staff was very nice and courteous. Everyone tries to work as fast and efficient as possible.
I ordered the Wow Wow Roll and Snow Mountain Roll. Presentation was nice but flavor of the food was just okay. Probably a little on the bland side and the ingredients seem like they've been sitting out for some time.
The miso soup was just average. Not very flavorful but it did have quite a bit of pieces of tofu and seaweed. I have a feeling it's pre-made.
Overall, the place is consistent with their food. Not a bad place for their lunch specials but I do think their rolls are overpriced for the quality that you get. The amount is similar to other places and I can fill up on 2 rolls for lunch. If I had to choose between this place and Fatty Fish, I would choose Fatty fish.

Great sushi, clean restaurant, great mood lighting. The rolls are jumbo size and delicious, the saki warm and intoxicating. I have never had anything but great service and meals. Overall, I will definitely make this my local sushi stop.

3.5 Stars.
Solid sushi. Not mind-blowing, but certainly got the job done. Roll pieces were a little too large for my taste, and they went heavy on the rice -- but still delicious. Highly recommend the Manhattan roll. Service was speedy, attentive, and friendly. Definitely coming back on a lazy week night.
