I stumbled across this braid shop online while looking for a good African braid shop to go to. I noticed it had 5 star reviews so I decided to give it a try and see why it was rated so highly.
I called and made an appoint and the lady (Matou) was nice and she even called to let me know the woman who would be braiding my hair was waiting for me to arrive. I thought that was helpful because that woman could've taken another customer but since I was running a tad bit late, she waited for me before taking anyone else. Once I arrived the women greeted me and they were all friendly.
They play African movies which are really good and the women that braid the hair seem like they really care about your hair. They didn't pull and yank at my hair or take whole bunch of breaks in between braiding. The women take turns finishing the hair and the braids came out really well. I will definitely be going back, they even sell Dashikis and beads to put in your hair. Now I see why this place got five stars!
