I'm glad i got to visit this doctor because it made me appreciate my doctor(s) more. I never had such an awful experience before.
I had a referral from my doctor so i came in for my first appointment and was greeted by an angry front desk lady, she gave me a cold attitude even though i was very nice to her. she didnt seem like she wanted anything to do with me. i was called in by an assistant and i was led into the room (not to mention, the office looks like its someones apartment) and met my doctor. The assistant asked me to sit down in the patients chair.
the doctor was overweight - i normally have no problem with this, half my family struggles with weight and many of my good friends are overweight too. However, when my doctor is overweight/obese to the point where she barely gets out of her chair.. that concerns me, it does not put me at ease nor does it bring me confidence in my doctor. She spent the entire visit showing her backside to me, she barely looked at me, and when she spoke to me it was very aggressive and cold and she raised her voice alot. She interrupted me when i spoke to her about my symptoms, she barely let me speak, and she got angry at me when my symptoms didnt match what she wanted. She told ME what my symptoms are. She had a very "are you serious? you dont know this? how dumb are you?" attitude. I didnt tell them i speak russian, but she spoke and made silly jokes in russian to her assistant in front of me. She even insulted my physician, who i truly admire because she is a caring doctor. She gave me a prescription and dismissed me.
You can clearly see that no one wanted to be there. the lack of happiness or concern was terrifying.
I work in a medical field and i understand some days can be difficult and stressful, but honestly there is no excuse for this. I am never going back there.
