Master Cabbie Taxi Academy

I was a FHV driver in 2012/13. I let my license expire and wanted to renew it for 2016. TLC has a new rule that FHV drivers now have to attend a 24 hour class (3 days of Eight Hours) and pass a test to get their licenses. I attended this school and was instructed by Kervin. He is a great teacher. He made the process fun and interesting. I passed the final exam and now am waiting for my license to come in the mail. I recommend this school to anyone going for their FHV license. The staff is friendly and proffesional. I'm actually going to write a letter to the TLC Commision letting them know what a great teacher Kervin is. This school is worth EVERY DOLLAR!

Great school! worth your money! Polite staff! The Instructors work with you explain well, Terry is a great man, made me laugh alot. There was one instructor who was very cooperative than the rest I believe his name was Faisal, cool guy. Enjoyed being in his class! Try to take it with him you wont have any complains

There is two parts in this :
I can't say anything about the teachers and the way how classes go or even the knowledge that they have beside "perfect".
When it comes to the front desk ....I'm a bit disappointed with the unfair treatment of these guys ! They should watch their attitude towards customers.
Note :
People who are completely unhappy with this school and asking others to go to hanak to get a license !!!! They are all from same country lol is it a coincidence or a plan ? I wanted to drive in NYC that's why I went to the master ....one day of I plan to drive in India I'll go to hanak.

Garbage taxi school. I took a wheelchair class with them, I got my certificate and everything but that was my success not theirs. I noticed the staff was extremely rude and unfriendly to all the clients. The old lady with blonde hair who was the instructor for the wheel chair class needed to get laid, she was more focused on touching and flirting with clients then teaching her course. I only went for one class for a few hours, I can't imagine being there for half a day for a week.

Many will laugh at Taxi classes by degrading it or saying 3rd world country..waste of time etc. To speak truthfully, some people does Taxi for "survival" to feed themselves & their families, while others are just there for pleasure, fun, extra pocket change to spend their boring life which they have nothing better to do with & never takes anything seriously. According to my experience with our teacher Mr. Kervin, He was a very good teacher that covered all the important topics to will help us to prepare for the exams. Laws & regulations are very important matter which many takes lightly.. A few mistakes will jeopardize your "survival career". It's the obvious that all of us can't expect a doctor's or engineer's salary, because we came from 3rd world poor families where they couldn't even afford to visit doctors. Those who laughs at those that who doesn't know English, the laugh is on you. At the end it's all the pride & materialism that makes one forget the very low place that he has been spurted out through before his birth ("The Urethra" or "Urine Passage").
