Very nice place for parties upstairs. Lots of space, nice dancefloor area, delicious food, and great decor. But the cherrytop of the cake was the view of NYC. Can't beat it.

The upstairs party room is amazing with a spectacular view of nyc. However staff were lacking basic skills of customer service compared to other restaurants.

- Terrible #66360
The customer service was awful. My waiter, some older guy, kept on telling me that he "wasn't in a hurry"(3 times) when I was constantly trying to give him "hints" that "I" was in a hurry because I had to go back to work, so I needed the check; after I had long finished my food, flagged him down, and sat there like an idiot for more than 15 minutes of him walking around, obviously ignoring me.. It was kind of weird, actually. The guy kind of forgot that he was there to serve customers.. Lol

Not going back there. The food was mediocre too. And that's from a Hispanic with Colombian and Puerto Rican background; I know my Spanish food. Been to, too many good places, this is not one of them. Cheap food quality and service, passing as a high class Hispanic classy restaurant.

I just don't understand wants going on here with these people. This place use to rock back in the lighthouse days. There's no reason why this joint shouldn't be shining every other night, let alone the weekends. They've got location, parking, [a] breath-taking view - [a] phenomenal building; and yet they can't seem to get their act together. Its dumfounding. This place was empty on a Saturday night; the food was a three, at the very best ( how do you screw up arroz con pernil?) , the drinks were sub-par and the entertainment was at the very best mediocre (when it finally got started at 10:30pm ) what's the problem??.

Whoever owes and/or manages this place really needs to take a hard look at this business again - and [perhaps] partner with some people (promoters / restaurateurs) that builds/promotes restaurants/supper-clubs. They should also, if they haven't already, take a ride up to Las Palmas or Son Cubano, both within 10 minutes driving distance, and borrow a page from their playbook. There's no reason WHY 'Marinero Bar and Grill' shouldn't be the BEST in the area of Latin dining and entertainment!! - regrettably its far from it.

- Poor #66362
We had a party with reservations for 24 but only 20 people came. They charged us for the 4 people that din't come. This is totally unacceptable. (good thing that we asked for the extra food to take home otherwise they did not offered. The service was awful, very poor and low communication. When we asked about the menu the servers did not know how to explain the meat choice (boliche). The worst part of the night was that the price given to us did not include taxes nor tips, so at the end of the night we were short with money and everyone was furious about it. The manager did not handle the situation well so this bad review and many others will come. I will not recommend this place at all!
