My wife suffers from chronic joint pain in her shoulder and it was getting to the point where she was taking painkillers almost daily in order to function. That's not a solution, but it was all that conventional western doctors would recommend.

So we went to see Dr Mei and try something different. Dr Mei is great - very caring, takes her time to work out exactly what is wrong and then tries a variety of alternative treatments, and the results are fantastic. My wife now rarely takes painkillers and swears by Dr Mei.

I'm personally pretty skeptical when it comes to alternative remedies - I've got no time for things like homeopathy or Reiki for example - but I really do think that Chinese medicine is the way to go if you have chronic pain problems. It helps of course that Dr Mei is also a qualified medical doctor and has studied conventional medicine too. You get the best of both worlds. Her costs are very reasonable given how qualified and experienced she is, even if you aren't covered by insurance.

In summary, I can't recommend Dr Mei enough. She is a real New York gem.
