Good spot in the area for dancing and lounging. I ended up here through another event/tour I was doing. Good music played the whole night, the staff is pretty attentive and prices are reasonable. I didn't try the food, but it did look good.

I saw a show at the Blue Note recently and was starving, so decided to eat there. I am the type of person who loves wings and to ease my guilt and create a full meal, I'll often pair them with a salad of some sort. Well, the Blue Note understands people like me. Their salads are vegetarian but come with the option to add various meats, for example, grilled chicken, skirt steak, salmon, and... Yep, you guessed it -- chicken wings! Yasss! Their wings supposedly have a sesame sauce and I love all things Asian inspired (as sesame usually is), but these fell short. They were super bland. The chopped salad I got was delish. It was super fresh and crisp. Gotta love that. The food came out FAST. Like, FREAKY fast. I'm sure that's why the wings were just blah. They were probably made well in advanced and heated up before they were brought to me. Which would also explain why they were lukewarm. The other issue I had was the drinks. The martinis were $16! And when you saw the size of the martini glasses... *side eye* You can get the same drink from places nearby in the Village for about 4 bucks. Lol. But I guess the trick is you won't be watching an awesome performance while drinking more reasonably-priced cocktails at some dive bar, huh? Anyway, the Riesling I had was fine but it came in a child-sized glass. Sheesh! I guess they don't want people getting liquored up at the show? But damn! Of course I'll come back because they're always having some awesome act at the Blue Note. I'll just remember to eat (and drink!) before I go.

Stopped in here for a drink and appetizer and it was full of activity even early Saturday afternoon! Beer pong tournament, several sports games on TV, and a live band that opened with acoustic mgmt songs. The Manhattan Proper Ale was really good - better than untapped made it seem. We also had the truffle fries which came out hot and were so tasty!
