Reviews to Manhattan Park
I lived at one of the buildings of Manhattan Park for a year. The apartment is terrible, heat is so weak and it feels like north pole in winter, and they failed to repair it. Speaking of maintenance, I have been called at work by someone from maintenance saying that I filed a maintenance request about my floor (which I didn't, nor did my roommate), they just kept calling me about this phantom request for almost a week, despite that every time they call I always tell them that I have nothing to do with the request.
Also, building management is very unhelpful, my lease ends on a Saturday and lease for my new place starts on the exact same day, however they won't allow me to use the freight elevator (apparently no one's using the freight elevator in a Saturday morning, but they insisted that no one moves anything on weekends, not even one moving box) and insisted that I move out on the following Monday (of course they won't pay for my extra stay, or for my day off)
Commuting everyday I have to take the shuttle bus which is almost always full of people and then the F train, F is the only train available so on weekends if there's maintenance on the F line, it's extremely inconvenient.
Avoid this place!

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Management here is absolutely atrocious. Avoid at all costs.

This is an expensive place to live , but still my favorite in NYC.The tendency to compare RI to Manhattan with lifestyle and prices is funny. Even if you work just 2 stations away, you can't get into train easily in the morning. The RIOC, company who manages everything on the Island, sell the land for more money. New ugly buildings are being built. Soon, RI will be like any other place in Manhattan and the magic and potential of RI will be lost forever :(

Service is ok. But the management company is ridiculous about their application procedure. Unclear and tedious process. Double submission and charges of documentations for both them and their background checking company. Not sure why they hire a separate background checking company, if they don't share documentations and the background company asks you to provide everything......Unnecessarily rigorous about all procedures, even if you have a decent employment status. If not that I don't want to move after sublet, I will most likely leave.(regardless to say, they charge you for 'background check' when you move in, then again $200 for the same reason if u want to stay there...)

As soon as you step off the tram, you can feel the tension of Manhattan easing away. Everything slows down here, and people actually greet one another. People walk their dogs and push their children's strollers with an air of peace and serenity. The apartments have ample closet space, which is at a premium to say the least. If your unit faces North, there is a wonderful view of the East River and a magnificent view of the Manhattan skyline. A therapeutic place to live indeed.
