I read all the good reviews and decided to give a shot. I ordered a small latte. It was 4 dollars. It's pretty expensive for the size, but I guess it's Manhattan after all. They don't take credit cards for under 10 dollars (major inconvenience!).
I got used to Illy coffee on the cruise ship and I really liked it. However, my latte was just bad. It is true that they cater to men. 3 guys before me placed their orders and I saw when barista made their orders, she used ceramic cups and then placed it in the take out cups. For me, she just placed a paper cup right into the machine. Latte was extremely hot, like you can damage your mouth hot! It wasn't smooth at all and required a lot of sugar. I was very disappointed! Especially after I had Latte at Demarco and it was awesome! it was perfect temperature and didn't require sugar. it was just perfect foam and everything. I would never go back. Go to Demarco instead!

Great (slightly overpriced) espresso but their mediocre coffee is luke warm at 8:30 a.m. on a weekday and the rest of their overall menu is overpriced. I want to like this place bc it is so close, but too many great substitutes in the area to give this place a 4th try.

I have tried every coffee shop north of the village and this a favorite. The cookies are baked right there in front you!
