Reviews to manhasset animal hospital
Dr. Hendrickson is an outstanding veterinarian supported by a talented staff. He cared for our once-feral cat from the time she was spayed to her recent passing from cancer as a sweet, now domesticated almost 20-year-old cat. Along the way he did tooth extractions and two complicated cancer surgeries to improve her quality of life and longevity. We recommend Dr. Hendrickson and the Manhasset Animal Hospital most highly.

Doc Henrickson is the best when it comes down to handling all types of creatures. He has seen my cat and dogs. He is always a phone call away, even if it is after hours. I've boarded both my cat and dog and they've always come back happy!!!

This is a great hospital. My sister comes all the way from New Jersey to take her animals here since she moved and found no vet compares to Doc. The best facility near her told her the dog had kidney failure and 3 to 6 months to live. She took the dog to Doc for a second opinion. Doc put him on a special diet with medication and now his kidneys are functioning normally.
Vicki and Dan have a special way with the animals. My dog practically drags me into the place to see them.
He is a wonderful vet and I recommend him wholeheartedly.

My experience at the Manhasset Animal Hospital was great from the beginning. My cat was barley eating and very lethargic before I brought her in to the doctor. Dr. Henrickson was very compassionate and understanding. Spencer, was diagnosed with diabetes and he was patient with teaching me how to administer shots. It is also nice because I feel very comfortable and confident when leaving Spencer at the hospital when we go on vacation. One of his assistants lives on premises and I know they will be attentive to his sugar levels and needs. I highly recommend Dr.Henrickson's practice!

While I do believe that Dr. Henrickson cares about animals, he takes a very "the sky is falling" approach, causing you to spend much more than you really need to. We took our cat in to see him, for behavioral issues, and he ran a ton of tests, telling us that she was experiencing kidney failure. Obviously we were very concerned, and feel like he played into our fear. Before we knew it, he was prescribing special food (which she refused to eat), medicine (which was actually for ulcers) and told us that we needed to bring her back in a few days for further testing. When the next round of tests came back, and we found out that her kidney function was on the very low end of abnormal, he then tried to tell us that we had to rush her in for dental work. In less than a week we spent over $1,000, and while some of it was necessary, much of it was not. We will not be going back to this vet.
