Reviews to Mandarin Oriental, New York
While their rooms are absolutely gorgeous, the bar is subpar: my craft cocktail was unbalanced, and their wonton noodle soup left much to ask for. Having lived in Asia for several years, I know for a fact noodles are not supposed to be mushy or spaghetti-like in texture, nor should the broth be flavourless. The service is also mediocre compared to their European and Asian counterparts.

The Mandarin Oriental exudes class. The location and views over Central Park are exceptional. Staff are professional and courteous, anticipating needs before they are mentioned and always with understated Asian politeness. The food provided for our catered event was remarkable in presentation and quality, and our event - a farewell following a month long journey - left a lasting impression with our clients. Rooms are nicely appointed and feature stunning Park or Harbor views. We look forward to returning for similar functions, knowing our needs will be well met.

Not that many seats and tables are available for drinks. The view is good but not necessarily worth going out of your way. Service is great and the drinks and tea selection are all excellent. Nonalchoholic drink choices were also great for the youngans.
