Mamaroneck Community Nursery

My son has been with MCNS for 3 years now, beginning in the Toddler Center and continuing on in the Nursery School. The environment is warm and inviting and the teachers are incredible. ESPECIALLY for an active boy, I love the play-based curriculum. He is learning and thinking and getting lots of movement in the course of each day. The staff helped us with the tough decision to give him another year before Kindergarten. They were honest, but kind and really guided us through the process. Their support has been invaluable. My daughter will start in another year and I would recommend MCNS to everyone. Everyone feels like family there and it's been the most amazing way to start our son's school experience.

I have been so pleased with my family's experience at MCNS. We moved here 2 years ago and knew no one. I was concerned about enrolling my daughter in a nursery school that would be nurturing and stimulating. I could not have asked for a better experience. I love the cooperative element because it encourages parent participation. It allows us as parents to see first hand our children's experiences. The teachers love when parents are involved. This is a loving environment with exceptional teachers. They keep their skills updated, they are loyal to the school, and most importantly, they love children. My daughter, who is now 5, and my son, 3, have learned how to make friends, engaged in creative play, and improved their literacy skills.
