Mamajuana Cafe

We had dinner for 4 started with sangria, Taino appetizer platter, the famous churrasco and rib eye. The worse service considering we have visited three others in Washington heights, Queens NY and Paterson NJ. So service starts with the waiter spilling sangria on one of us, then the appetizer platter was a joke for $38.00, def. not what We have ordered and received in the others. Dinner, what a disaster! plates arrived the steak juice spilled on one of us again!!! WTF. The churrasco was like bubblelucious chewing gum, not edible! The rib eye well done despite the fact it was ordered medium well!!! Everyone ate a 1/4 of the meal and requested the check. Will def. not go back for such lousy food and service and on top over price!!! Very disappointing considering the others locations have gone above and beyond with customer service and their culinary presentations. This locations does not deserve a one star, the staff need some serious customer training and the Chef should taste the food before serving it to the guests, shame on you. That is one of the reasons that a business and their concepts fail. Get it together at Mamajuanna.

I went for my cousins birthday and it was horrible! The waiter and food was amazing but the rest was a disaster, the security guards there don't respect anybody, they are very rude, as a female and the rest of us were female I felt humiliated and embarrassed from his actions. The security guards was acting like if we were delinquents when we simply went to eat and dance nobody was drinking nor doing anything improper.. I would not recommend this mamajuana restaurant to nobody because of the security guard. Worst place I have been in my life.

This placed will kill your appetite! Don't be fooled by the Spanish aurora because the foods a let down. Cuisine prices for corner store flavors and portions.
***Note come for the music and inconsistent drink size cocktails that are mucho dinero!

I was there with my friends July 17th and 18th and the service was EXCELLENT!!!!
We go there all the time and decided to eat at the patio and would do it again anytime!!! 5 STARS to our waitress Barbara. Great attitude, best service. We have no complaints about the service, food and staff. Will keep going tonight. Barbara was GREAT!!!!

Loved it, I have been to other locations and out of all, this was really te best. The place was packed so I had to park in the back building, which is a bit of a walk, but other than that, the food was great and services was exceptional.

My friend and I went this sunday, there was a large party there, I sat at the bar for a few minutes and had a "Jazmin Mojito" - funny how the barterder name this drink with her own name. This is a watermelon mojito, it was very refreshing and well balanced.

I was then seated within about 15 minutes, ordered the mini-mofongos, OMG, these were so crispy and tasty, I ordered again to take home. Then I ordered the Red Snapper, my friend ordered the Bassa Relleno (Bassa Stuffed with Shrimp). Both delicious and well presented.

My waitress, Alba was very attentive and professional. I would definitely come back here rather than the other Mamajuana's. It is closer to my home and definitely one of the best places in the area.
