Good taste, great cupcakes. Prices are high. Similar places charge less.

Amazing cake it was tasty. Too expensive but I guess it was worth it!!

Make My Cake is a cute as can be bakery that I'm totally in love with at the moment. Come in and take a seat (if you can stand being surrounded by the smell of baked goods and sugar for hours) and enjoy the yummy red velvet.

So, cupcakes are a huge trend right now. I'm suspicious of anything trendy and this cupcake business is no exception. People, they are cupcakes! Just stop obsessing.

I appreciate a shop that isn't all cupcakes all the time. Sometimes I want a real cake in slice form. You can get that here. I'm in love with the Red Velvet just like most everyone else.

I also have to give props to the icing. One of the reasons this whole cupcake thing annoys me is that bakeries often top their cupcakes with mounds and mounds of disgusting icing. That overly-sugary, bland, no taste but fructose bullpucky was yummy when I was 7. I'm now an adult and I'd like some real flavor. And I don't mean 'green'.

At Make My Cake, they have real icing. Not too sweet, great flavor, great texture (you can usually tell bad icing cuz it has the consistency of sugar crystals), and perfectly compliments the cake. Yum.

The owner is really sweet and invited my friend and I to come back and chill in the shop on our next writing date. I don't know if that's a good idea for me. I might end up eating 3 slices of cake an hour. But she was really nice and I may have to try at least once.

The cakes are delicious!!!! HOWEVER..... Ordered an engagement party cake. First off the cake was $400. The cake was ordered a month in advance. The day of me picking up the cake I waited an hour because the cake wasn't finished. The cake came out with the owner who then explained that there wasn't enough fondant to finish the cake so thats what the hold up was about. She apologized and told me to just take the cake for the deposit I left which was $200. When I took the cake out of the box....after getting a $115 ticket waiting for the cake, it was breaking where there wasn't enough fondant. I had to use skewers to hold the cake together. There should be no reason that a cake ordered a month in advance is in need of anything. I have gone back and purchased other cakes. If I need a cake for 5 I will tell them 3 just so I know theres no wait. I just dont trust them for anything more important than a small function cake. They would be and were my LAST choice for a wedding cake.

When you are on your way to Make My Cake, you can smell the butter as you hit the block. They have big slices of delicious cake, though they make cupcakes as well. The chocolate cake with chocolate icing gets a big thumbs up as well as their chocolate cake with butter cream!
