One package I sent from here never got delivered and the other was 5 days late even though I paid for 2-day shipping. The people at the counter are generally nice, but whoever I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and not helpful. I will never go back.

Unbelievable service! I came by to send out an envelope-I was in a rush and didn't have cash. They took the envelope, sent it out, and told me to come back later to pay. That's the kind of business you're not used to finding anymore!

I was recently in a very big jam and needed my resume very quickly for an interview. I stepped into this Mailboxes, etc. on Bleecker St. and the gentleman in the store said that while he normally doesn't accept USB sticks (something about viruses), he would do it in this case, as he recognized my desperate situation. Not only that, he refused to charge me and even gave me some encouraging words for the interview.

It was such a good experience and I didn't really know how to thank him, so I just bought an envelope. We shared a laugh and I was on my way. With this karma, I'm sure I got the job!!! :) It was the true meaning of customer service - yet the only thing purchased was a 50 cent envelope.

I spent weeks saving up for a $600 espresso maker for my sister's wedding and when I finally shipped it to her mailbox it never arrived. When we tracked it the item showed up as signed for and received at the location by the manager. When we called to follow up they called back the next day claiming they had video cameras in the store and they were going to find out what happened. At this point we assumed someone had stolen it but were not sure. Another day passed and they called to say they had given it to another customer by accident! We understand that accidents happen so initially we started this process out in a forgiving mood. When we asked if we could be guaranteed this would not happen again they screamed and hung up the phone. Then they promised to reimburse us but called a day later screaming again and hanging up the phone. At this point my sister was very nervous to have her wedding registry items sent there-- it was a fluke that I had sent the first package and tracked it--what would happen to the packages that we were not aware of? We kindly asked to be let out of our contract. We of course were screamed at and hung up on once again-by the owner! When we first went there they were nice, and seemed reliable. I suggest that you think twice before making the assumptions that we did. They are not nice nor are they reliable. TERRIBLE SERVICE

They charge 3 times the published rates and are absolute pricks while doing it. It will be good for the neighborhood when they are out of business!
