Maid Brigade-South Nassau

I have used Maid Brigade for over a year to clean my parents home in Rockville Centre. The girls are terrific and have done a wonderful job. Always reliable, friendly and clean beautifully.

Wow. Where do I start? Sorely disappointed to say the least. I was preparing for Thanksgiving and arranged to have an estimate done last week. The owner came out...was a really nice guy so nothing bad to say there...We scheduled for today. He had estimated it would take 2 hours w/2 people to clean my 1 bed 1 1/2 bath condo, and that seemed fast to me.

They worked exactly the 2 hours, which would have been fine if the job was done right. After they left, I noticed several shelves not done, none of the baseboards, 2 mirrors hadn't been touched, one bathroom was pretty good but the 2nd bathroom looked like it had NOT been done at all...there was dirt and hairspray residue all over the counter...NONE of the chrome fixtures were polished. The toilet bowl was still dirty and the seat cover hadn't been washed at all.

As for the dusting. Very few things were moved. They basically dusted the visible surface and around things. the back edge of my desk, my nightstands, the window sills, and baseboards were all a dusty mess still.

As for the floors, NONE of the small furniture was moved (except for some dining chairs and bar stools). Then I found out from my roommate that their idea of washing the hardwood floors was spritzing a cleanser on a dry cloth and swiffering the floor. Are you kidding me? That is not washing the floor. I used a dry swiffer myself after they left and pulled up HEAPS of dirt, hair and debris. That is APPALLING to say the least. Especially since I had specifically said the hardwood floors were important. Now I have to wash the floors myself even though I paid someone to do it!! So annoying!!!

What a waste of $120 bucks. But the thing is that I didn't ask him to do it fast and cheap...I would have paid more to have it done right, but 2 hours was not enough...as evidenced by his telling his employee to rushrushrush the whole time. The poor girl. It wasn't her fault he misquoted the time. It really SHOULD HAVE been a 3 hour job, and I would have paid the extra $60...but now I have paid $120 bucks and STILL have to do it myself. Bad. I don't even want to try to complain and have them fix it. I just won't be using them again. Gross. I am still not over it.
