Terrible customer service.
Wait time is so freaking high.
Find another place.

Thus far, we have had really positive experiences with the staff at Madonna. It's run efficiently, wait times are at a minimum and the staff is very experienced.

The Doctors and Barabara the generic counselor are wonderfully compassionate and professional. However, for the three years that I have been coming to this office, the front desk is always a problem. They are downright rude, which during a delicate time in your life is just an unnecessary strain. At present I am sitting in the waiting room and just overheard Toni place a patient on hold so she could continue her personal conversation with her co-workers. No wonder ten minute hold times for appointments are common here. I would recommend the Doctors however I go to the Brightwaters office whenever possible.

- Terrible #101392
Our experience at Madonna Perinatal in Mineola didnt start off all that terrible. Our first appointment was with the Genetic Councelor, (Barbara I believe) who spoke to us for about 45 minutes and was wonderful. We decided and determined with Barbara that we did NOT want an ultrascreen and were going to wait enough weeks to have an amniocentisis. We liked her and felt comfortable... but not for long. We came out of her office to make an appointment for a sonogram to be barked at and somewhat rudely treated by the front desk. It was a bit of a buzz kill and we didnt think much of it. Now a week or two go by and we are there for our ultrasound. The tech was somewhat cold and seemed to be bothered by our questions. Keep in mind we have never been pregnant and this is our 3rd ultrasound. So we were super excited about seeing and learning about our twins, our first children. She seemed to be having a hard time. She had to call in another tech with whom she spoke only in Russian to (i believe) right in front of us leaving us further confused, somewhat scared and isolated. The straw that broke the camels back was when we left that sono and went to the front desk to schedule the next appointment. They started asking us when we wanted to schedule the ultrascreen. We told them that we were not having an ultrascreen but they seemed annoyed and short with us..; almost insisting we have one. Thats when we got to thinking.... who in there is going to perform our amniocentisis? We went to their website. They do not list any doctors on their site! At that point we lost all confidence there and continued our Antipartum testing at North Shore Manhasset which was phenomenal. Totally professional, A1 care. Madonna scared the hell out of us with their rude barking front desk, amateur Sono techs, and ghost doctors performing critical tests on a 38 year old, high risk twin pregnancy. No one should have any additional, unnecessary fear or uncertainty during antipartum testing. No one should be rudely treated especially with what you are paying them. North Shore Manhasset made us feel like we were home. They made our pregnancy an excellent experience and we owe our childrens health to them because they identified that my wifes blood pressure spiked & immediately sent her to the hospital. Thank you Nurse Maryanne!!!!
