the BEST MACARONS in NYC area - period --- I met these French Macarons Wizards , took the trip from NYC to NJ just to pick up some of their delicacies --- call them in advance to make sure their kitchen is open since they have no store front.
Order online as well they ship Nationwide in very protective packaging.
Customer service is terrific and helpful
you cannot find better Macarons elsewhere

Very disappointing customer service, as in there wasn't any. I spent more $700 in gift orders in July 2013. We had a delivery problem with one order (it was delivered to the wrong address - I found out a week after it was supposed to be delivered). I tried to call, email and message via Facebook someone at Mac Mac's. I left multiple voice messages (because no one answers the phone) and sent multiple emails (no one responded and the last email bounced because their mailbox was full). My last attempt was leaving a Facebook message, which went ignored. Without some sort of customer service, ordering from Mad Mac is a crap shoot - if anything goes wrong, you're just out of money.

I was surprise to see a bakery from New Jersey coming all the way to New York for Macaron Day. They had about four different macarons for customers to try. I picked the caramel one. The problem was it didn't taste like caramel, instead it tasted like chocolate. It was a great macaron nonetheless. Not good enough for me to go all the way to New Jersey. As for the chocolate tasting caramel macaron, perhaps I grab from the chocolate batch, if there was one.

Made on site by Acclaimed Pastry Chefs Florian Bellanger (Judge on Food Network "Cupcake Wars") and Ludovic Augendre (previously both Chefs at Fauchon Park Avenue, NYC), these Macarons are freshly made daily.
I recommend purchase on their web site , but if you want to save shipping cost , you can call them in advance and pick up your order on premises.
