We joined a group of 17 for a double birthday gathering at Machiavelli. The maître d' was absolutely lovely, greeting the group, speaking with birthday girl #1 and helping get the group settled. Our waiter was wonderful, had a great sense of humor and handled the large party with ease. Their waitstaff were extremely attentive, constantly refreshing the water and bread (delicious). When it came time to order, we learned of some specials and then the group communicated their selections. The waiter even made a special scallop dish without red sauce for me. All the food came out beautifully presented and was excellent. My pasta was handmade and mixed with a garlic sauce and baby scallops- so good. The restaurant had a live pianist most of the evening, and she played happy birthday as the waiters brought out chocolate desserts while the restaurant sang happy birthday. On a side note, the decor, ambiance and overall appearance of this restaurant is beautiful. They even feature all of their artisans in their menu. It was absolutely delightful and I highly recommend. Thank you, Machiavelli!

LOVE their breakfast, dinner and deserts. This place looks classy as all get out with their Renaissance decor and mini grand with live music, yet it's not snooty if you're worried about that. The prices are wonderfully moderate, the atmosphere eccentric and the staff similarly so. Eat here! They are never full even though they should be.

On the first visit we went in for a Saturday evening bite. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the music being played added to the mood. We had some pizza and various pastas at our table and all were great. The second visit was for brunch and I highly recommend the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes if you go.

The absolute best spaghetti pomodoro I have ever had in my life. Heavenly. I have never had an experience where I went out to dinner late one night and woke up the next morning and the first thing I thought about was having more of last night's meal - until I ate at Machiavelli. It was that good! Our waiter was awesome as well - Dan - very personable and friendly. My wife had a ravioli that had beets in it. It was great.
And the coolest thing - there is an Italian man who you can see diligently HAND ROLLING each piece of pasta in the kitchen. Amazing. I'm a customer for life.
