Never had a problem. Decent selection of wines. Open late. People hanging around the street are neighborhood types. No problem at all. Don't let the negative reviews scare you. They have been in Montclair forever and are very decent folk who own and work there.

Friendly staff and a decent selection of wines for a corner liquor store. Crowd is a bit shady, and I wouldn't let the little lady go alone, but never had an issue with locals that hang on the corner.

The owner is most pleasant and gives the customers and familiar faces most generous service especially during busy hours and never rushes people or locked them in while fishesing the days closing hours.

Just a very basic liquor store. Prices are a little high, not a wide variety of products. There are old men standing out on the corner,NOT DRUG DEALERS. These guys are harmless. They live in the apartments upstairs from the store. If you're scared to go to a liquor store in MONTCLAIR because of old men standing on a corner. Then you really need get out of your shell and experience life a little more......just my opinion

I'm somewhat glad to hear about this store's shady reputation online. I went here once one night when I desperately needed to pick up a bottle of wine for someplace I was going. It was getting really close to ten, when most liquor stores close in the area. I happened to come upon this store a few minutes before 10:00, and attempted to enter, as the store would close at 10. Well, the door was locked already! I knocked on the glass to get the owner's attention, but he blatantly ignored me, like I was one of the wino-like types that I saw outside the store. I suppose they were actually druggies and not winos? (Nice place; great service. Uh-huh.)
